Your use of and purchase of products from this site are governed by the terms and conditions set out below, and as set out under Copyright, and delivery. We recommend you also read our Privacy policy.
We may at any time make changes to this site and the details displayed on it (including prices).

Terms and conditions of use

1. Prices and Payment

The prices for goods displayed for sale on this site are as set out on the site, are The Discounted Carpet Underlay Companies prices and are inclusive of VAT. Delivery is also inclusive (for orders over Ł25.00) and for area`s that can be delivered to via an overnight standard service.Prices and delivery charges displayed are valid and effective only in the United Kingdom and are applicable to the mainland only and exclude certain other postcodes.
We cannot accept your order until you have paid for it in full (including applicable delivery charges). Upon payment, we will confirm acceptance of your order by e-mail which will be sent to the e-mail address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive the e-mail, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.

Credit and Debit Card Payments
All card payments are processed by Protx and Streamline.
For your security we run the 3D secure card sysytem that protects you against fraudulant use and gives you a full money back guarantee.Further details can be found at Mastercard and Visa's websites.

2. Your right to cancel your order

You may cancel your order at any stage before the goods are delivered to you,subject to the conditions below.

Should your order already have been despatched then the cost price of the return carriage will be deducted from your refund.

You may also return the goods at your own expense via your chosen carrier.

If you wish to cancel your order you can either phone us on 01482 826336 (lines are open 9am - 5pm weekdays) or email us.

In some cases we may be unable to prevent your order from being despatched to you. In this case we will arrange for your order to be collected at your convenience (see our returns and refunds policy).

3. Our returns and refunds policy

If you are not satisfied with the order you have received from us you may return it to us within 7 days of delivery . We will exchange or refund any unused items returned to us, as sold in their original condition.

We ask that the return of unwanted goods are returned via your chosen carrier at your own expense.The refund due to you will less a 20% handling charge and we are sorry but we do not accept goods that have been opened or part rolls.

We follow the law and DTI code of distance selling which can be found at www.dti.gov.uk

4. Exchange and Refunds

If your goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged on delivery we will exchange the product or issue a full refund to you including delivery and collection charges.Please note that for damage claims you must allow the goods to be returned for the carriers inspection.Should the goods not be collected then the carriers will not consider a claim and The Discounted Carpet Underlay Company will not pay any compensation claim.

Refunds will be paid within 14 days of receipt of the returned order.

5. How To return items

Call our Customer Services team on 01482 826336 and inform them of the return.
Return the items via your chosen carrier.

We shall not be liable to you where performance of any of our obligations to you is prevented, frustrated or impeded by reason of acts of God, war and other hostilities, civil commotion, accident, strikes, lock outs, trade disputes, acts or restraints of Government, imposition or restrictions of imports or exports or any other cause not within the reasonable control of The Discounted Carpet Underlay Comapany.

Please ensure that you have received and checked your order in full before booking any fitters and contractors as we will not be held responsible for fitting or call out charges.

No other verbal communication or promise will be considered enforceable unless confirmed in writing.

If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of these terms and conditions shall not be affected and shall remain in force.

All sizes quoted are approximate.

In connection with building work The Discounted Carpet Underlay Company cannot advise on building regulation issues.

These terms and conditions and any contract between us shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction over any disputes between us.

In these terms and conditions:-

"The Discounted Carpet Underlay Comapany" means, Carpets Direct (GB) Ltd registered at Companies House no 5015200.Vat registration number 829 7463 84.
Carpets Direct (GB) Ltd and any other connected organisation that supplies the goods ordered by you and any successor to its business;

"We and Us" means The Discounted Carpet Underlay Company either alone or together with you, as the context requires;

"Working day" means every day of the year except weekends, and English statutory and public holidays;

"You" means the person ordering goods subject to these terms and conditions;

Privacy
We only use your details to process and deliver your order.We do not sell or use your details in any other way,we do not send random marketing emails or sell or use your email address (called spam)for any other purpose but to process your order.We conform to the Data Protection Act of 1988.
